GUIDE TO REVIEW BY PEER EVALUATORS
Dear Peer Reviewer, in order to evaluate the articles, you should take into account aspects such as the following.
RESEARCH ARTICLES
A research article is a document that presents, in detail, the original results of completed research projects. The structure generally used contains four important sections: introduction, methodology, results and conclusions.
Abstract
(The abstract should include:
- Identification of the problem to be solved
-Academic and social motivation about the problem and the results.
-Delimitation of the methodological approach and of some of the main methods.
- Selection of the most relevant results in relation to the problem.)
Key words
Are the keywords adequate?
Introduction
(The problem is clearly and precisely stated, and is supported by the literature review/state of the art. The purpose of the study and the research questions are well formulated. There is coherence between the purpose, the questions, the problem statement and the object of study).
Theoretical Framework
(Presents and develops in a clear and coherent manner the theoretical perspectives and central concepts that support the proposal presented in the document. It uses theoretical references that respond to updated discussions on the object of study).
Methodology and results
(The type of study, methods/procedures for data collection and analysis are clearly described and theoretically supported.
The proposed methodological approach is consistent with the problem, purpose and questions posed. The conclusions are consistent with the problem, objectives and results presented).
Originality
Does the article make an original or novel contribution to the field of Ethnomathematics or in general to the sociocultural and political perspective of mathematics education?
REFLECTION OR REVIEW ARTICLES
Reflection article is a document that presents the results of completed research from an analytical, interpretative or critical perspective of the author, on a specific topic, using original sources.
A review article is a document resulting from completed research where the results of published or unpublished research on a field of science or technology are analyzed, systematized and integrated, in order to report on progress and development trends. It is characterized by a careful bibliographic review of at least 50 references.

Key words
Are the keywords adequate?
Introduction
Does the introduction state the purpose of the article and/or present the hypotheses of the study?
Development and conclusions Do the conclusions relate to the ideas developed in the text?
Tables and figures Are their redundancy between the text, tables and figures?
References Are the references cited relevant and up to date?
Quality of the article (in terms of writing, clarity of ideas, internal coherence)?
Are the conclusions related to the ideas developed in the text?
Originality
